The Exhibition will be take place on Wednesday 6  November, and parents will be invited to come along and have a look at the exhibition that evening.

Whole school reminders/updates:

Term 3 ends this Friday.  We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break.
Term 4 returns Monday 14 October

We say farewell and thank you to:
  • Alicia Gross (Foundation teacher) who has decided to return to Canada at the end of this term to be with her unwell brother and support her family. 
  • Paul Adler (year 4) who has filled in whilst Mr Davies & Mr Jones have been on leave
Potential Bus Service 2020
  • In a recent survey we asked “would you be interested in utilising a bus service if one was offered?, and we had 47 families respond with an interest.
  • The next step is to gather names and addresses to develop the service.  If you have an interest please complete page 2 of the document Click here and return ASAP
SPORTS DAY Friday 27 September (last day of Term 3)
  • Parents, families and friends are invited to join us for Sports Day

Sausage Sizzle @ $2 / sausage
(Students are asked to preorder their sausage lunch by giving $2 to your class teacher prior to Friday)
Program
9:05am                  Whole School Devotion and Opening Ceremony in Taikondi
9:20am                 Championship Sprints as a whole school on the main oval
10:20am               Class and Year Level Events
(all classes will have a designated 20 minute lunch break during the class events)
1:20pm                 Closing Ceremony and Awards on the main oval
1:40pm                 Children going early can be collected & signed out from their classrooms  
1.50pm                  Year 6 students will participate in a Staff vs Students Sports Program. 
F-Yr 5 students can watch or choose another activity in Taikondi
3.25pm                  End of Term

  • Students are to wear sports uniform but can choose to wear a t-shirt in their team colour, plus coloured ribbons, socks, streamers. Please bring your HAT.  Coloured hairsprays must be applied at home.  Please apply sunscreen prior to coming to school.

ALWS Fundraiser Mon 23-Thurs 26 Sept
  • Students who wish to participate will run/walk laps on the oval during recess times this week.  Families and friends can sponsor their child to raise money to help children in developing countries through ALWS

NAPLAN REPORTS 2019 will go home this Thursday to Yr 3 and 5 students

SUMMER UNIFORM  is to be worn from Term 4. 
  • This refers to the formal uniform for students in Yr 2-6;  Summer Dress for girls and Grey Shorts and Short Sleeve Shirt for boys.    
  • Some students have been wearing non-uniform sports items to school.  Please purchase all sports shorts and trackpants via the uniform shop.
  • The Uniform Shop is open Mondays at 8.30-9.15am and Fridays 3-3.45pm.
  • The Second Hand Uniform shop is open Tuesdays 8.45-9.15am and Wednesdays 3.15-3.45pm
  • HATS are required to be worn in Term 4.  Please ensure they are clearly named. 

iGOSH
October School Holiday Care
Online bookings have now closed, but there are some places remaining on some days/  To book in now please contact Katrina direct via email or mobile.   Late bookings will incur a Late Booking Fee of $10 per child, per day. The daily PROGRAM can be found at this link
  • Confirmation and Consent letters will go home today and need to be signed and returned before Friday. 
  • Accounts will need to be below $500 and the last vac care account paid to use the service these holidays. 
Bookings
  • If your child(ren) haven’t used iGOSH for 8 weeks, you will receive a letter / email from centrelink stating their enrolment has ceased.  However you can still make bookings via the system and the day after attending you will receive a notification in your mygov to confirm the enrolment. This happens each time you don’t use the service for 8 weeks.
  • Term 4 bookings are now open online. Go to www.carebookings.com.au – code number KTQQ3
2019 Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition
  • Held for students who live in the Town of Gawler.

Rotary Gawler – Youth Art Competition and Exhibition

  • Open to all youths aged 5-18 yrs - create your picture (A3 size max) and enter it for display and judging at the Gawler Village Fair Saturday 2 November 2019.
