Uniform 
Uniform days revert to: Monday Tuesday and Friday -Sport uniform 
                                     Wednesday Thursday - Formal

Exhibition
We have begun the Exhibition process and today we assigned the groups. An email with greater detail will be sent out shortly but until then mark the date November 6th for our evening celebration. 

Conferences
It's great to see many families signing up for conferences. See notes below if you are yet to do so.

Whole school reminders/updates:

Learning Conferences – parent+teacher+student (interviews)
The first meeting date option is tomorrow – followed by 2 dates next week
Tuesday 17 September (Week 9)     3:45pm to 8:05pm
Tuesday 24 September (Week 10)   3:45pm to 8:05pm
Thursday 26 September (Week 10) 3:45pm to 6:20pm
  • Some parents have not yet booked a timeslot to meet the teacher.

  • The online booking system will close Tues 17 Sept at 10am.  (It will reopen again Weds 10am for next week’s dates).  If you need help booking a time please contact the office. 
  • Attached is the note which explains whether your child should attend, along with the form you can complete and return so your teacher can prepare and respond to at the interview.  Click here to download it from our website.
Learning Conferences with Specialist Teachers
  • Some parents/caregivers have requested conference times with our specialist teachers.  We will be in touch shortly to arrange times for our specialists to meet with you.  If you have not requested a conference but would like to see some of what has been happening in specialist lessons, please take the time to visit our specialist teachers and see their displays in Taikondi during the learning conference evenings.

Potential Bus Service 2020
  • In a recent survey we asked “would you be interested in utilising a bus service if one was offered?, and we had 47 families respond with an interest.
  • The next step is to gather names and addresses to develop the service.  If you have an interest please complete page 2 of the document Click here and return ASAP

AMAZING ME Facts of Life” Education Seminar
Wednesday 18 September  6.30pm at Immanuel School (approx 90 minutes presentation)
  • There is still opportunity for parents and their child/ren (for year 4, 5 & 6’s) to register to attend. Go to www.schoolinterviews.com.au and enter the code xpssg.   Cost is $35 per family and prepayment is preferred.

UNIFORM Thurs 19 Sept the weather is forecast 27o.  If students are wearing formal they can choose to wear their Summer Formal Uniform.

ICAS TESTING English and Maths this week, for those registered students

SUMMER UNIFORM  is to be worn from Term 4. 
  • This refers to the formal uniform for students in Yr 2-6;  Summer Dress for girls and Grey Shorts and Short Sleeve Shirt for boys.    
  • Some students have been wearing non-uniform sports items to school.  Please purchase all sports shorts and trackpants via the uniform shop.
  • The Uniform Shop is open Mondays at 8.30-9.15am and Fridays 3-3.45pm.
  • The Second Hand Uniform shop is open Tuesdays 8.45-9.15am and Wednesdays 3.15-3.45pm

SPORTS DAY Friday 27 September (last day of Term 3)
Refer to the NOTE being sent home today for some details and the program. 

ALWS Fundraiser is now in week 10 Mon 23-Thurs 26 Sept
  • Students who wish to participate will run/walk laps on the oval during recess times next week.  Families and friends can sponsor their child to raise money to help children in developing countries through ALWS

iGOSH
October School Holiday Care
Online bookings close 10am Friday 20 September.  Any bookings made after this day will incur a Late Booking Fee of $10 per child, per day. The daily PROGRAM can be found at this link
  • Confirmation and Consent letters will be sent home Mon 23 Sept (W10 T3) and need to be signed and returned before the end of the week. 
  • Accounts will need to be below $500 and the last vac care account paid to use the service these holidays. 
Bookings
  • If your child(ren) haven’t used iGOSH for 8 weeks, you will receive a letter / email from centrelink stating their enrolment has ceased.  However you can still make bookings via the system and the day after attending you will receive a notification in your mygov to confirm the enrolment. This happens each time you don’t use the service for 8 weeks.
  • Term 4 bookings are now open online. Go to www.carebookings.com.au – code number KTQQ3

2019 Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition
  • Held for students who live in the Town of Gawler.

Rotary Gawler – Youth Art Competition and Exhibition
  • Open to all youths aged 5-18 yrs - create your picture (A3 size max) and enter it for display and judging at the Gawler Village Fair Saturday 2 November 2019.
