Upper Primary Concert Costumes
Eckermann- Students wear casual clothes that are red, navy, black, white or neutral shades with no large labeling or symbols (as plain as possible).

Book Week
This Thursday is the dress up for Book Week. We encourage Seniors to get involved and take part in the fun. The theme for Book Week 2019 is...

Sand pit donations
Our Student Parliament has looked into the need for some equipment for the upper sandpit. 
So we are asking for donations. If you have anything like metal or plastic shovels, buckets, cake tins, saucepans please place them into the basket out the front of the school office or Taikondi.


Thought for the day
If you ever feel cold, just stand in a corner. They are usually around 90 degrees!

Open Morning
Tuesday 20 August at 9.00am
  • This is for any new / interested families looking at schools in Gawler.  If you know anyone with an interest in enrolling their child for 2020 or beyond please let them know. 
  • If you have a sibling due to commence in 2021 please ensure you have filled in an enrolment application form so we have their name on our data base. 

ICAS TESTING
  • Last chance to enter for the ICAS tests.  Please return forms and payment tomorrow Tuesday 20 August
  • Student’s in year 2 to 6 can participate in these.  Subjects are Digital Technologies, Science, Writing, Spelling, English and Mathematics.

Book week dress up day Thursday 22 August
  • Students can dress up in their favourite book character costume for the day
  • Parade starts at 9am in Taikondi.  Parents welcome to come and watch
Student Photo Day next week Wednesday 28 August
  • Please return all photo envelopes by this Friday 23 August even if you are not placing an order
  • Payment via cash, money order or online credit card via the photographer – follow the instructions on the envelope
  • Family envelopes for sibling group photos available from the office
  • What to wear:  Year 2-6 students will need to wear their full formal winter uniform including the green jumper.  Foundation & year 1 students will wear their sports uniform including the rugby jumper

Worship and Praise
  • Friday 23 August 9am with Mr Adler’s Year 4 students – all welcome to attend

Gawler Show is Sat 24 and Sun 25 August
  • Come visit our schools stall in the Springwood indoor marquee over the weekend
We are part of the treasure trail handing out giveaways
  • On Sunday the school band and dancers are performing at 10.45am in the Youth Shak

Pancake Brekky morning Monday 26 August
  • Come and join us for a pancake from 7.45am

·           Accounts / Invoices are emailed weekly.  Your prompt payment would be appreciated, as we would like all accounts under $300.  You can pay via the school  office with cash or card or via bank transfer into the account shown on your invoice.

·           Student Free Day Friday 13 September – IGOSH available 7am to 6pm – open now for bookings
·           Christmas / January holidays – IGOSH available from Thursday 12 to Friday 20 December and then from 6 January to start of 2020 term
·           If your child has not attended iGOSH for the last 8 weeks, you will need to login to your https://my.gov.au and reactivate your account  

ThinkUKnow Cyber Safety Education Program for parents / caregivers
Monday 26 August at 7pm in Taikondi  (approx. till 8pm)
  • This parent information session will cover issues relating to children and young peoples’ privacy and security online.  It will provide an insight into the devices young people are using including popular websites, apps and social networking sites.
